So I spent most of tonight taking notes on what I think I'll have the courage to speak on here. Brad and I were good friends for many years. He treated my little sister like his sister he treated me like family. I love him very much. After a decade I finally feel like I can come on here and share some stories and some insights. I know there are many people out here that know him far better than I did. But there were several years where he happened to live closer to me than he did to you all. I am doing this all talks to text because I have 2nd degree burns on my right hand which is what I write with. And it makes it very hard. I want to thank Kris for getting me on the site again. Where do I start?
Happy Birthday Little Brother.

Thu, 04/19/2018 - 10:56pmLord have mercy I just tried to tell one simple how we met story out of who knows how much I have notes on to tell and it was completely impossible to decipher. Is there a way to speak and upload audio files by chance?? I'm not at all ambidextrous and have severe burns on my right hand at the moment.... I'll try to sneak in entries while on the computer at work tomorrow otherwise. Love and miss you Brad

Crack
Thu, 04/19/2018 - 11:31pmone of my favorite stories the Brad told me was when he was coming home late from Shop and Save in South Saint Louis and older black woman came up to him and looked at him and yelled crack! And he looked back at her then turned around, pull down his pants and bend over, then proceeded to spread his ass cheeks and yell crack! She then responded, white boy you just don't understand.

Running
Thu, 04/19/2018 - 11:32pmSo whenever Brad and I were in a car and he would see someone jogging on the side of the road he would roll down the window and yell as loudly as he could, keep running your ass is still fat!
Kris
I have heard stories of him
Sat, 04/21/2018 - 6:51pmI have heard stories of him yelling out the window before and every one of them is different. I miss his crazy ways so much.

Bus
Thu, 04/19/2018 - 11:33pmSimilarly to the jogging story, used to love seeing people at the bus stop. He would always roll down my window and hang out it and yell, the bus isn't coming it was broke down a couple blocks ago! People would start walking home with bags of groceries and all kinds of stuff because of his lying ass LOL

I am imagining Brad doing
Fri, 04/20/2018 - 11:25pmI am imagining Brad doing this and laughing so hard.

LOL
Tue, 04/24/2018 - 2:21pmYes, It's easy to see! We used to drive around with vinyl decals on our beer cans that said "7 OP" (instead of 7 Up) to mask our drinking and he'd mess with anyone within ear shot. I can still hear him yelling, "CHRIST ON HIS THRONE" also lol

Skynard
Thu, 04/19/2018 - 11:38pmBrad and Chad and I don't know who else... I think Glenn was there and maybe even Becky. We went to go see macabre and throughout the whole show Brad chose to scream Freebird! And Skynyrd rocks! Those guys didn't even know how to react, I promise you LOL
It was kind of similar to win I took Brad to see Bobcat Goldthwait perform and we were so drunk that we heckled him to the point of being made fun of by him on Stage

Litter/Emily
Fri, 04/20/2018 - 2:09amI always said that when I had a child I would teach her one lesson that you taught Emily. And I certainly did. A i k o is now 9 years old, and she knows that the only reason why anyone letters is because they're lazy.
I will also never forget Emily sweet young voice saying my daddy lives in a strawberry because you lived in Shrewsbury.
Emily, your father might not have been perfect but I promise you there is no daddy in the world that could have loved his girl harder and more sincerely than that man loved you. If you ever ever want to talk my phone number is five seven three 275-4910

Pseudonym
Fri, 04/20/2018 - 2:17amSo our dear friend and family member had a pseudonym for absolutely everything. And when I say pseudonym is probably closer to euphemism. Well reverse euphemism anyway LOL. Here's a few that I remember off the top of my head:
St Louis wish Shit Loser, Misery
The Central West End was the central rear end
Rolling Rock Beer was blowing cock
Shrewsbury was Screwsbury but he always had to mention and add to that that his daughter said that he lived in a strawberry LOL
River Des Peres was River Des poo
Webster Groves was Webster Grooves
Jamie Lee Curtis became Jamie Lee clitoris
Please add to the list, I know you all remember others

Things Brad loved
Fri, 04/20/2018 - 9:38am#1 EMILY
Argyle socks
Unique artwork
Spirals
Fast music with intelligent lyrics and hard drugs
Women in sweaters
Redheaded females
Wearing shorts (his navy blue cut off Dickies were his 365 trademark
Learning, reading, questioning, searching, pondering
White chocolate
Cheesecake
Real conversation
Chicago
The number 9
The word chaos because of what it meant and also because he taught me that you couldn't take the letters and rearrange them into any other word using them all only once
Oddities like when I taught him how Mozart made a noise Symphony that took four different orchestras and put them in every corner of the room surrounding everyone played notes that didn't go together just to annoy the crap out of everyone involved. That was right up Brad's alley and mine
Kevin Spacey, we used to watch The Usual Suspects over and over and over and pause it and analyze it and look at it LOL. There was even a point to where he told me that he would never bend over for any man because he's straight except Kevin Spacey because he admired him so much as an actor. Now he was exaggerating to an extent but it's funny how now we know that Kevin Spacey might not have minded that so much LMAO
Brad loved and hated life. He.... yeah even after a decade im not ready to further explain that thought

Batteries
Fri, 04/20/2018 - 2:39amSize of the silly little car. It was a Ford Festiva. If you've ever seen one you can go by Brad's description and look at it like a roller skate or a milk carton turned on its side with wheels. However it got us too many shows in Chicago and got us around town tell me how to drive a manual transmission. It served its purpose. It's stereo did not work though. So I took a small tape deck and literally velcroed it to the dashboard under the windshield. And had to purchase batteries constantly they were size C I would go to the Dollar Tree and get them by the Dozen. Will these very cheap batteries a lost their power very quickly. So my back seats would have at any given time 50 batteries size C batteries laying back there. So Brad took it upon himself to roll down my windows and start throwing them at people and things at nice cars at anything that he had any of version to whatsoever. And of course I soon followed suit. We would be driving around the counties in St Louis chucking he C size batteries and any and everything the gave us the slightest bit of reason to not like them. We ended up with the police chased out of neighborhoods, we had people with bats running down the street, everything you could imagine. We never stopped the practice though.

Phone v hand... none shall triumph
Fri, 04/20/2018 - 3:10amOkay I swear I actually do give up now. For tonight it's over. This text to talk is not saying what I'm trying to get it to say. I'm telling whole stories and it's not even writing them out. Not to mention my hand looks like something that the alien queen drooled on with her acid rule. Good night everyone. I love you Brad.
Kris
Keep it coming
Fri, 04/20/2018 - 8:17amReading this is like a fix to a junkie. I know I am not the only one who's going to be hanging on and waiting for more. Words cannot explain how great it is to hear new stories!
SarahSchatz

I'll look
Fri, 04/20/2018 - 9:41amI've moved so many times, across country and back, lost all my things several times, I certainly wish I still had pictures but I doubt that I do
