Wow! My brother Brad. What an amazing guy. We go through his things slowly and thoughtfully. As I see and touch things he owned and treasured, it just amazes me how much Brad never stopped wanting to learn. He never stopped hunting for more and more knowledge about everything, including "self". So many intense books and stuff, all geared towards learning. To me it was overwhelming, but then you will open another box and it's full of what I think of as the coolest toys. Stuff that many adults would consider junk but treasures to Brad. Since I also have a rather decent size collection of almost the exact same type of things, I latched onto these things right away.He had a really cool collection of figurines, some I recognize as characters from horror movies like "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre". One thing I really found funny was a nun with a ruler and a wide open yelling mouth and a really angry face. When you wind her up she walks and spits sparks out of her mouth. Junk to many but to Brad, an admittedly myself, a treasure to keep. Brad had such a funny childlike side that could make anybody smile and usually laugh. Brad was Brad and he was a goofball. Missing him and losing him is the most gut wrenching and painful experience of my life. But this Brad, the goofball, the guy with a huge collection of miniature Kung Fu guys, has given me a head full of memories that instantly can make me smile.

Oh, that thing is funny!! I always loved all of Brad's little trinkets and toys. I am so glad that he shared a lot of those kind of things with Emily. Her room is surrounded by little gifts like that, that he gave to her over the years. I am so glad you have been finding some joy in going through all of his things. I know you do so with great care and thoughtfulness. xo
