I've moved my desk at work a few times in the last few months, and didn't know when I would move again... they were supposed to be fairly short-term moves. I just took what I needed to work with, and Brad's picture did not go with. I just put it up again today. There is a guy that sits by me, and I was sort of disgusted to watch him throw his scratch paper in the regular garbage. I was really disgusted to see him do this on a regular basis. What bothers me more than anything is that this is an engineer with five kids... considering a sixth. You can't tell me you love your kids if you are not concerned with doing even the little things to help the world they will inherit. It is also depressing to think that those five kids are going to learn the same attitude. Well, maybe they won't since the schools raise kids instead of parents these days. This morning I moved the bright blue recycle bin by his desk where he had to walk past it. He did several times throughout the day. After I watched him throw his third sheet into the regular garbage as usual, I said, "Nate." and pointed to the bin. He said, "What's that for?" I figured I wouldn't get anywhere by embarrassing him in from of everyone, so I said nicely, "Recycle." He took the paper out of his trash and put it in the bin. I looked over at Brad and smiled.
Now, if I can only get that idiot to cover his mouth when he coughs, which he does constantly.
